1. Who We Are

VoltLister ("we", "us", "our") is a desktop application and web service that helps eBay resellers create listings faster by automating the listing process from product photos. VoltLister is operated as a sole proprietorship. For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at [email protected].

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the service:

• Account data: Email address and encrypted password, collected when you register.
• Usage data: Number of listings created, plan type, trial status, and subscription period — used to enforce plan limits and display your usage in the app.
• Product photos: Photos you take during a listing session are temporarily processed to generate eBay listing content. Photos are not stored permanently on our servers after processing is complete.
• eBay connection: When you connect your eBay account, we store the authorization token provided by eBay to publish listings on your behalf. We do not store your eBay password.
• Payment data: Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. We receive confirmation of payment status and plan type from Stripe.
• Referral source: If you arrived via a tracking link (e.g. from TikTok or Reddit), we store the referral source to measure our marketing effectiveness.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account
• To operate the listing automation service
• To enforce plan limits (trial, Basic, Pro)
• To process payments through Stripe
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
• To respond to support requests
• To measure which marketing channels bring users to VoltLister

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your data with anyone except the service providers listed below.

4. Third-Party Services (Subprocessors)

• Supabase (supabase.com) — Database and authentication. Stores your account data and plan information. Servers located in the United States.
• Stripe (stripe.com) — Payment processing. Handles all billing and subscription management.
• eBay API — When you authorize VoltLister to publish listings, we communicate with eBay's official API using your authorization token.
• Google Gemini (google.com) — AI processing. Product photos are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate listing titles, descriptions, and pricing suggestions. Photos are not retained by Google after processing. See Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
• Product photos: Deleted from our servers after processing is complete (typically within minutes).
• Usage data: Retained for the duration of your account to track plan limits and history.
• Payment records: Retained as required by Stripe and applicable financial regulations.

6. Your Rights

Regardless of where you are located, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time by closing your account

7. Cookies

The VoltLister website (voltlister.com) uses only functional cookies necessary for authentication (session management via Supabase). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

VoltLister is not directed at minors under 18. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, in alignment with eBay's seller requirements. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Authentication is managed by Supabase, which follows industry-standard security practices. We do not have access to your Stripe payment details.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of VoltLister after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
